Affiliate links
SideBySide Crypto is free to read. To pay for it, some links on the site are affiliate links. If you click one and open an account, the exchange may pay us a commission through an affiliate network. That commission comes from the exchange's marketing budget; it doesn't add to your fees.
Which partners
As of the date above, our Kraken links are affiliate links, tracked through the MaxBounty affiliate network. Links to other exchanges on the comparison table are plain links unless we label them otherwise. We'll update this page when that changes.
What it doesn't change
- The numbers. Fees on the comparison table come from each exchange's own fee schedule, with a source link and a date, whether or not we earn from that exchange.
- Cheaper competitors. When a competitor is cheaper on something, we say so, even if it means you might sign up elsewhere. Right now, Binance.US posts lower spot fees than Kraken, and our table shows that.
- The downsides. We list limits and catches for partners too, such as Kraken not being available in New York or Maine.
How to spot an affiliate link
Affiliate buttons are labeled near the button, and they route through a short redirect on our own domain (for example /go/kraken/) before reaching the exchange. That redirect lets us count clicks without tracking you around the web.
